2016 Latin American Club Leaders Meeting in Cambridge

From February 3 to 5, the HAA hosted the Latin American Club leaders meeting in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  The gathering was a fantastic occasion for Clubs leaders from Chile, Colombia, Panama, Nicaragua, Mexico, Monterrey, Argentina, Peru, Spain, Puerto Rico, and first time attendees Uruguay and Paraguay, to share recent success stories, discuss particular challenges, and network with fellow Club & SIG leaders.  Juan Fernando Jimenez (Colombia) and Carlos Ulvert (Nicaragua) moderated the sessions. Martin Grasso, HAA Vice President 2014-2015 and Mark Elliott, Vice Provost of International Affairs, joined the group contributing their own valuable insights to the discussion. Sessions included presentations from Harvard staff and faculty across the University, and the networking breakfast with Admissions staff, and Faculty gathering, all served to foster a committment towards joint efforts and outreach. Everyone left the meeting energized to continue the magnificent work of connecting alumni with each other and the University and with a determination to continue inter-regional activities.
