New Leadership Checklist

 
A key aspect of onboarding new leadership successfully is to transition information to incoming volunteer leaders.  This handy checklist will ensure a smooth transition!
 
 

_____   Complete the Volunteer Leadership Form to inform the HAA Clubs and SIGs team of new and outgoing officers and ensure the new ones receive communications. This information is also used to update the Organization's directory listing on alumni.harvard.edu.

_____   Ask new volunteers to review:

o    New Leaders Orientation to learn about HAA-enabled programming (e.g., GNN)
o    Officers Lounge  for important tools and resources
o    HAA Clubs and SIGs Operating Agreement 
o   Organization’s bylaws

 

_____    Obtain any banking and tax-filing details; applies to President, Secretary and Treasurer


_____   Collect logins and passwords for all organizational accounts and update access/admin rights, as needed. This includes:

o    Email and social media channels
o    E-commerce platform
o    Zoom or online meeting platforms
o    Web platform and domain registration

 

_____   Introduce the new leadership team to your community

o    Update the Board/Officer page on the Organization’s website 
o    Introduce the incoming volunteer leaders in a newsletter/email 

 

_____   Locate and contact your HAA-appointed Board of Director for Clubs and for SIGs

 

_____   Locate and contact your HAA Staff Liaison with any questions
